The Mechanical Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of mechanical projects within the mining sector, ensuring that all aspects of the projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This includes project planning, resource management, client communication, risk management, and driving project efficiencies. Key Responsibilities: Project Management: Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from inception to completion. Oversee all stages of project life cycles, including design, procurement, execution, and commissioning. Budget & Resource Management: Develop, manage, and control project budgets, ensuring all project activities are completed within financial constraints. Manage resources effectively, including labor, materials, and equipment. Stakeholder Management: Work closely with clients, contractors, engineers, and internal teams to ensure alignment and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle. Act as the main point of contact for clients regarding project updates and concerns. Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met. Compliance & Safety: Ensure projects comply with all regulatory requirements, health and safety standards, and environmental policies. Foster a strong safety culture on-site, ensuring safe work practices are implemented and maintained. Technical Leadership: Provide technical direction and expertise to project teams. Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure the highest standards of quality. Essential Skills and Knowledge: Skills & Expertise: Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and design principles. Excellent understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques. Familiarity with mining processes, operations, and industry-specific challenges. Strong leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
