We are seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to effectively maintain, preserve and manage a multi-site, state-wide portfolio of physical assets. This position leads and manages a multi-disciplinary Assets team in the Park Service's Branch.As The Manager AO8, You Will: Lead and manage multiple projects including policy review, high level cabinet submissions, business transition and governance to transition to new asset systems, ensuring quality, budget and project time scale milestones are met.Communicate strategic directions, both verbally and in writing in a clear, concise and articulate manner, focusing on key points.Prepare high level written communication including briefing notes, cabinet submission, ministerial correspondence and complex reports.In consultation with internal and external stakeholders, plan, design and develop strategic directions and plans to achieve the desired objectives for the asset program delivery.Provide high level strategy and policy advice and represent the division in departmental and whole of government negotiations, preparing policy papers, submissions, briefs, reports and budgets as required.Plan and establish works programs, manage required procurement and contractors, ensuring project scope and timings are aligned to broader objectives to ensure effective service provision.Manage project budgets, ensuring budgetary adherence by all parties throughout each job including setup and adherence to sign-off and cost to complete reports.Ensure all projects are compliant with legislation, government approvals, specifications, and QPWS policies and procedures.Foster a workplace culture that supports and promotes the interests of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and actively engage through our work to contribute to better outcomes for First Nations peoples of Australia.This team is responsible for guiding and delivering sustainable, best practice, asset management frameworks, systems, processes and programs for Queensland's parks and forests.
