The RF Technologist will be required to work across a variety of disciplines including RF hardware design, software configuration, testing and completing systems engineering documentation and procedures.They will be required to support team members in their required areas of expertise and share their knowledge to aid in improving staff understanding. Job Duties & Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): As directed, undertake the design, integration, testing and documentation of engineering subsystems Plan, design, manage, execute and report test and test procedures using appropriate testing tools and techniques Produce technical documentation Undertake testing using electronic debugging equipment (e.g.oscilloscopes, logic analysers, spectrum analysers) to do fault finding and debugging of embedded hardware devices Assist in the continuous improvement process by developing and enhancing procedures With guidance, perform design review Essential Job Skills & Qualifications: Demonstrable experience in system design, deployment/set to work, sustainment and fault-finding of RF systems Broad knowledge across earthing, power, transmission and timing systems Ability to modify RF equipment and systems to achieve bespoke operational requirements Test integrated solutions against design specifications Manufacture and testing of low volume, bespoke cabling.Optical, coaxial and signalling Desirable Job Skills & Qualifications: Experience in satellite communications Experience in Data Centre / Transmission Room systems and design Electrical Trade certificate Rope Access and working at heights Application of ARPANSA RF standards Experience in RoIP technologies Candidates must be willing to undergo an Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to engagement.As OSA is an ASD policy requirement to determine a person's suitability to work in ASD.It requires a psychological assessment in the form of a questionnaire and interview.Candidates should consider their preparedness for questions including topics such as personal relationships, living and financial circumstances, physical and mental health history including substance use.HOW TO APPLY Please provide an updated CV that reflects your suitability to this role.We will also require responses to the following: Your ability to perform the Job Duties and Responsibilities.How you demonstrate the skills and experience against the Essential Skills and Qualifications.How you demonstrate the skills and experience against the Desirable Skills and Qualifications.These responses can be done for each individual dot point or as a summary.
