Job Description:
The Enrolled Nurse works under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse, to provide person-centered care, in collaboration with individual/s and the multidisciplinary health care team to achieve people focused quality care.
Responsibilities:
* Providing nursing care to patients in a variety of settings, including hospitals and community health centers
* Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
* Conducting assessments and evaluations of patient needs and developing strategies for meeting those needs
* Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
* Assisting with medical procedures and surgeries as needed
* Maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient care and treatment
* Demonstrating knowledge of and adherence to established policies and procedures
* Participating in ongoing education and training to maintain current knowledge and skills
Requirements:
* Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Enrolled Nurse
* Demonstrated ability to conduct nursing practice in a manner that respects the rights of individuals and groups in the context of a multi-disciplinary team
* Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills
* Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills
* Knowledge of and ability to work within a person-centered approach to nursing
* Demonstrated understanding of quality improvement and evidence-based practice
