About the role At Orica's Kooragang Island manufacturing site, the Despatch Technician - Nitrates oversees the chemical processes/systems of machines related to the Nitrates Product Line within their skill and knowledge level during a thorough training program.This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys making a tangible impact. What you will be doing Operate chemical processes or machines using control panels or semi-automatic equipment; Coordinate with technical and supervisory staff to address safety, efficiency, or quality issues; Discuss production problems or equipment issues with others to find solutions; Oversee production activities; Repair production equipment or tools; Packaging and loading of Nitrate products into trucks. What you will bring Has forklift license; Capability to acquire SSAN License; Skill in operating front end loader is desirable – capacity to acquire the qualifications; Has strong ethics, values, and character; builds trust internally and externally; Demonstrates business intellect, confidence, decision-making courage, and leadership skills; Works well in teams, supports others, and has strong collaboration, mentoring, and coaching skills.
