The Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Data Analysis and Reporting Officer to join the data and analytics team within that plays a pivotal role in delivering positive change for Development Services.
As a Data Analysis and Reporting Officer, you will participate in a range of data related improvement initiatives and be challenged with:
1. contributing to team direction and a culture of performance excellence
2. employing well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including the ability to negotiate, consult and coordinate a range of stakeholders
3. deliver a range of timely and accurate data related tasks
4. quickly acquiring an understanding of Council’s data environment and relevant business processes.
The Development Services Data and Insights teamis a fast-paced environment so being flexible and adaptable is key. Working to demanding deadlines and building collaborative relationships is also a must for the successful candidate.
To be successful you will have:
5. demonstrated technical proficiency in MS SQL to develop structures such as stored procedures
6. applied knowledge and understanding of data modelling (eg. Kimballs dimensional modelling methodology)
7. demonstrated experience in data extraction, data modelling and creating analytical reports/dashboards using PowerBI
8. demonstrated experience working in the Microsoft Azure Platform
9. applied knowledge of end to end data analytics processes
10. knowledgeable in data management and governance
11. an independent and inquisitive working style
12. comfortable working in an ever evolving environment, adaptable to juggling priorities and change.
