Overview of role:
As the Senior Finance Business Partner and trusted advisor, you will collaborate with key internal stakeholders to ensure high quality and accurate management reporting.
Reporting into the Manager Finance Business Partnering, you will be accountable for providing support and technical guidance with regards to annual budgets, forecasting, month-end reporting transactions and finance systems. You will do this by developing effective working relationships with your stakeholders, to identify and understand business drivers and operational performance to enhance the forecast and budget processes.
Key Responsibilities:
As our Senior Finance Business Partner, you’ll be accountable for:
* Deliver timely and accurate financial analysis and commentary each month to aid informed decision-making.
* Collect, analyse, monitor, interpret data and information, and make recommendations to ensure key financial outcomes are achieved.
* Assist in preparing the organisation's annual budgets.
* Prepare formal documentation to a high standard for submission and/or presentation to Stakeholders, Funding Bodies, Senior Management and Executive Management.
* Build strong relationships with budget managers, executives, operational teams, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and information exchange.
* Support end of month reconciliation, reporting and performance analysis.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement within the Finance team and contribute to the implementation of best practices.
About you:
Strong working knowledge and experience in financial management together with qualifications acquired through:
* Tertiary degree in Accounting with CPA/CA qualification (or equivalent) preferred.
* Relevant experience in finance business partnering with strong analytical skills in management accounting, budgeting and forecasting.
* Effective communicator with ability to build strong relationships with excellent influencing skills.
* A valid and current Australian workers’ rights.
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and Power BI skills with the ability to use complex formulas.

Salary:
The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2021 Band 5 $115,162 - $139,851 + superannuation salary range will be offered to the successful candidate commensurate with their skills and experience.
