Our staff are passionate professionals who are committed to helping students successfully achieve, no matter what it takes.About the RoleAs a Head of Department (Wellbeing) at Varsity College, you will play a crucial role in promoting the mental, emotional and social wellbeing of students and staff. This role will focus on driving a whole-College approach to wellbeing and engagement for staff and students from P-12. You will provide high-level strategic advice to the Executive Principal and Leadership team regarding staff and student wellbeing data, in accordance with legislative and departmental frameworks, and best practice initiatives.As the Head of Department (Secondary) with a focus on Wellbeing, you will:Program Development:
Design and implement P - 12 staff and student wellbeing programs and initiatives aligned with the College's strategic plan and wellbeing framework.Collaboration:
Lead and work with students, staff, parents, and external agencies (EQ/ Region/ various stakeholders) to create a supportive environment and ensure a coordinated approach to wellbeing.Resourcing:
Resource opportunities for staff and students on mental health awareness and wellbeing strategies, and provide resources for staff, students, and families.Monitoring and Evaluation:
Assess the effectiveness of wellbeing initiatives and make adjustments based on feedback and outcomes (through a variety of data sources including QEW, SOS, SDA, SWNA, student learning and wellbeing framework feedback, Student forum, staff wellbeing teams).Advocacy and Promotion of Positive Relationships:
