What you will be doing:
An exciting opportunity awaits for a Senior Radiographer to join the Medical Imaging Department at Nepean Hospital on a permanent full time basis.
Your position as the Senior Radiographer is responsible for the daily coordination of the MRI service including the optimisation of workflows and MRI standards. You will also supervise and be responsible for other MRSs, undergraduates and trainees as required. They will assist with the formal assessment of clinical competence of all radiographers trained or training in this modality and associated documentation.
It is also expected that you will liaise with the Chief Radiographer, Director of Medical Imaging and MES as appropriate to ensure that equipment is maintained and fully operational.
In conjunction with the Chief Radiographer and Director of Radiology, the Senior Radiographer will manage the MRI service and discharge the associated administrative duties.
The Senior Radiographer (MRS Lvl 4 Gde 2) will demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and have extensive clinical experience in the specified modality. The Section Senior has proven ability to work independently, expertly performing complex and routine procedures at the direction of the Supervising Radiologist.
