Work the hours you need to get your job done.WHAT YOU’LL DO IN THIS ROLEReporting to the Chief Mechanical Engineer, you will mentor and support a small team of mechanical fitters and a metal fabricator. Your role is hands-on and requires a high level of attention to detail. An average day could include:Scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs of plant and equipmentDevelopment of advanced Ag Tech equipment, contributing to assembly feedback as part of our ongoing commitment to continuous improvementAssembly of fully integrated machine skids for international transportMentor, train, and support existing and future team membersSupervise, induct, and train temporary labour hire as requiredEnsure all tools are well-maintained and in good working conditionEnsure all work practices comply with WHS standardsABOUT YOUCollaboration and a can-do attitude will be your finest attributes. The ideal applicant will have:5+ years experience supervising small to medium-size teams in mechanical assembly or other tradesExperience as a supervisor in an assembly plant, particularly in a heavily automated facilityPrevious experience working with automation equipment, including linear rails, pneumatic actuators, air regulators, feedback sensors, and solenoid valvesQueensland white card (general construction induction training)Working at heights and working in confined spaces training are an advantage but not essentialForklift & EWP licences are an advantageMust be based in or willing to relocate to the Gold CoastAvailable to travel interstate from time to timeOrganised, focused, and exceptional attention to detailMust have unlimited rights to work in AustraliaIf this sounds like it’s for you, please click ‘Apply for this job’ and include your resumé.
