The Director of Philanthropy is a frontline fundraising professional responsible for the management of a portfolio of prospects comprised of alumni and friends associated with the Nathan M. Bisk College of Business with the capacity and inclination to make major gifts to Florida Tech.Prospect management includes discovery and qualification of new prospects, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors, with a strong focus on cultivating long-term relationships with donors who have the capacity to make transformative gifts, while leveraging the relationships and vision of college leaders to secure support for strategic priorities and Director of Philanthropy communicates and travels extensively to develop and strengthen prospect relationships.Participates in a broad range of events on and off campus, having a strategic impact on the success of individual prospect relationships.The Director works collaboratively with other staff in the Advancement Division, the Department of Athletics, as well as college administrators, faculty, and staff.Responsibilities:Manage a portfolio of College of Business major gift prospects with a strong focus on cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding long-term relationships with donors who have the capacity to make transformative giftsIn conjunction with the Vice President of Philanthropy, establish prospect management goals for visits and solicitations.Develop, plan, and participate in strategic donor engagement opportunities, such as small events for targeted prospects and larger donor stewardship events.Develop and keep updated contact reports, opportunities, and solicitation efforts.Ensure the accuracy and timely entry of all information and records into the Blackbaud RENXT database.Develop and demonstrate a multicultural awareness and contribute to cultivating an inclusive, diverse, and respectful college monthly meetings with College of Business Dean & secure prospective donor meetings for university leaderships to deepen relationsAdditional duties as assigned by VP of PhilanthropyRequirements:Bachelor's degree (or equivalent knowledge obtained through a combination of education, training and experience)5 - 8 years of experience in nonprofits and/or front-line fundraising of major gifts or planned gifts ($25k+)Preference for higher ed experienceEqual OpportunityFlorida Tech does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, genetic information, age, pregnancy, parenting status, veteran status or retirement status in its activities and programs.In accordance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Florida Tech does not discriminate on the basis of sex.Inquiries concerning the application of the non-discrimination policy may be directed to the Office of Title IX at John E.
