The campus has 2 teachers, teacher aides, local staff and a teaching Head of Campus. For most students, English is an additional language. This role is supervised by a member of the Executive leadership team.Dauan is a small island west of Saibai and close to the Papua New Guinea border that forms part of the north western island group of the Torres Strait and is only accessible by helicopter. The effective community language is Torres Strait Creole, though many people still speak the traditional language Kalaw Kawaw Ya. The island has a population of around 130 people.Language and cultural activities play an integral part in the school curriculum. The College is seeking a highly effective instructional leader who is capable of enacting and monitoring the Explicit Improvement agenda.
