About The Role: Challenge Community Services is seeking a motivated and dynamic Carer Compliance Officer to join our team. This role involves conducting Carer Reviews, Carer Recruitment, and Training. As the Carer Compliance Officer, you will ensure Challenge remains compliant with internal and external requirements related to Foster Carers. Responsibilities include conducting regular reviews, maintaining compliance databases and the NSW Carers Register, and supporting potential foster carers through the authorization process. Additionally, you will assist in delivering Shared Lives training, assessing potential placement options for children and young people, and organizing foster care activities and events. About You: Qualifications in Community Services or a related field, or relevant experience and knowledge in the OOHC sector. Effective communication skills with the ability to engage with a range of audiences. Demonstrated ability to write comprehensive assessment reports with attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring deadlines are met without sacrificing quality. Strong team player with the ability to work with minimal supervision. Experience in using client management systems and databases. Required Checks : A current NSW Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement), NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willingness to obtain), and full COVID vaccination status. Driving License : Possession of an Australian Driver's License. The ability to develop strong relationships and engage with internal and external stakeholders, including carers and potential carers. Ability to assess and analyse information to make recommendations to strengthen a carers ability to provide trauma related care. Desirable Criteria: Experience in using the ACWA Step by Step tool or other assessment tools. Experience in facilitating Shared Lives training or group based training.
