There are over 9,000 irrigation stations with over 6,000 digital runtime programs. The role involves leading a team of operational staff, in a manner that encourages a high performing culture that is responsive to customer needs.You will be responsible for the management of service quality, technical compliance, worksite safety, delivery against schedules, budget compliance, and communication with relevant stakeholders during works delivery. Identifying evidence-based business improvement opportunities, then implementing and embedding these within the team is a core requirement.About YouOur ideal candidate will have: Relevant qualifications such as Plumbers and Drainage Licence in accordance with the Queensland Plumbing and Drainage Act 2018, including Backflow Prevention Certification or Certified Irrigation Installer. Formal qualifications in horticulture / open space management (desirable). Current Manual “C” Class Drivers Licence. Construction Industry White Card (30215 QLD). Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal and communication skills with experience (minimum 3 years) supervising field based or operational staff and providing technical advice and support in plumbing and /or irrigation installation and maintenance related fields. High level of experience working with customers and ability to build, maintain and sustain positive working relationships with key customers and suppliers both internally and externally. High level of experience in supervision of multiple and simultaneous maintenance activities across geographically dispersed work sites. Ability to safely operate and supervise others in a range of light plant items, machinery and equipment associated with programmed maintenance and installation projects within the rural and urban environment. Experience in applying Workplace Health and Safety, Traffic Management systems and frameworks in an operational environment, including prestart inspections, site audits and licence checks. Experience operating computerised equipment (e.g. data loggers, GPS, etc.) including the use of MS Office Suite and business systems. ** Position re-advertised.
