HammondCare is an independent Christian charity specialising in dementia care, palliative care, and rehabilitation, specialist mental health for older people and other health and aged services.
Job Description
HammondCare Greenwich Hospital offers rehab, palliative care and older persons mental health services. Share your passion for music as you play the piano, or bring your own instrument to play, for patients in our Older Persons Mental Health Unit.
We encourage a range of musical styles, from classical and popular hits from the 1930's onwards. Your music will be lovely background music or as support for a sing-a-long.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
Requirements
1. Applicants must be aged 18 years and over.
2. HammondCare will organise and pay for a national police check.
3. You will be required to meet our immunisation standards for the category of this role (including HepB, Measles mumps and rubella, Tetanus, influenza or be willing to discuss meeting the requirements).
We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, with visits potentially occurring weekly to monthly depending on your availability.
