Queensland Health (Organisation site: )Infrastructure Office, Townsville University Hospital Townsville Hospital and Health Service are seeking an experienced Deputy Director to join their Infrastructure Office. The Deputy Director of the Infrastructure Office is responsible for the development, implementation and oversight of the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (Townsville HHS) Capital Works Program of between $10M and $50M per annum in accordance with the State Government, Department of Health and Townsville HHS strategic objectives.Townsville Hospital and Health Service is the public healthcare provider for more than 250,000 people across a geographic area of 150,000km2, delivering a comprehensive range of services across 21 facilities, from primary care in regional locations to highly specialised care at the main hospital.The Opportunity The Infrastructure Office is responsible to support the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (Townsville HHS) facilitation of safe, effective and sustainable healthcare services through best practice: Capital works project development and delivery Asset management functions and capability Space management functions and capability Commercial property and lease management functions The Deputy Director of the Infrastructure Office will provide strategic leadership, direction and day-to-day management of the Townsville HHS capital works project development and delivery function and capability.Generous remuneration package value up to $182,185 p.a.comprising: Salary rates between $5784.20 - $6120.40 p.f.(AO8) Annual leave loading + leave 12.75% employer superannuation contribution Other employment benefits may include: salary sacrificing options, uniform and locality allowances, employee wellness and assistance programs and access to corporate discounts Role requirements Possession of a relevant degree qualification from a recognised tertiary institution, such as Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Structural, Civil or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent overseas qualification - must be deemed equivalent by the Australian Government and/or relevant registration body) would be highly desirable.Proof of qualification to be provided if applicable.The following knowledge, skills and experience will be highly regarded: Strong working knowledge (or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of) Queensland Government Capital Works Management Framework.Strong working knowledge (or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of) Australian Health Facility Guidelines.Detailed experience in the development and compilation of capital works business cases.Health Service Planning and/or Health Facility Planning qualifications.PRINCE2 project management qualifications or demonstrated knowledge.Travel: This position is located at the Townsville University Hospital campus and may be required to travel throughout the Townsville HHS catchment area and to Brisbane.Mandatory: This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this vehicle is required.Proof of this endorsement must be provided prior to the commencement of duty.
