The Digital Library Services team supports the suite of technologies that underpin the Library's delivery of resources and services to the Griffith community.
The Librarian, Research Content and Repositories plays a key role in maintaining and improving Griffith University's institutional repositories solutions and services: Griffith Research Online (GRO) and Creative Works.
This role has a strong focus on supporting the submission process, workflows and metadata standards relating to non-traditional research outputs.
Awareness of research processes and practices in the creative arts sector is desirable but not essential.
Key responsibilities Provide a range of digital repository services, such as creating, maintaining and improving metadata, and evaluating and maintaining interoperability with third party service providers and integrated systems to ensure discoverability, accessibility, and stability.Undertake a range of tasks relating to the processing of traditional and non-traditional research outputs, Higher Degree by Research theses and other digital outputs such as datasets, software and multimedia, in accordance with copyright requirements, and FAIR and CARE principles.Collaborate across the Library and with external stakeholders to ensure high quality self-help materials, advice and training are available to researchers.Liaise with internal technical teams and external vendors to ensure repository solutions and services are well-managed, applying change control procedures, including user acceptance testing and communication to affected stakeholders.Maintain awareness of library sector trends and open access opportunities and actively participate in user groups and communities of practice.About you Completion of a library or information management degree with subsequent relevant experience or, an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.What we can offerThis is a continuing opportunity based at Brisbane South (Nathan).
As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.HEW 6 Salary - Base range - $91,843.49 - $97,964.71 + 17%.
Full package range - $107,456.88 - $114,618.71.
