* Salary Classification: Registered Nurse Year 1-8.
* Remuneration: $36.38-$51.08 per hour + superannuation + annual leave loading + salary packaging options + RDO's
THE ROLE:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing effective and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused environment caring for patients with an oncology or haematology diagnosis. Patient care is provided throughout the patient journey including diagnosis, treatment with chemotherapy, immunotherapy and radiotherapy, management of symptoms and end of life care.
This role requires a deep understanding of oncology and haematology nursing practices, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for supporting patients and their families during challenging times.
DUTIES:
* Perform comprehensive and accurate nursing assessment of patients.
* Function in accordance with legislation and policy relevant to practice.
* Complete accurate documentation of nursing care and patient progress in patients’ medical record and communicate to other team members.
* Act in accordance with profession’s code of ethics and professional standards.
ABOUT YOU:
* Registered Nurse authorised to practice by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Demonstrated recent clinical experience in acute care with a special interest in oncology nursing.
* Ability to recognise the deteriorating patient.
* Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
* Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills with a customer focus.
* Demonstrated commitment to personal and professional development.
