We are seeking a Finance Manager to join the team and oversee Financial, Operations, IT and People management within the finance department.
Responsibilities: Oversee and prepare monthly financial results and reports for all company entities.Develop and present comprehensive financial reporting packages to the Board.Conduct variance analysis and review related activities, ensuring timeliness, precision, and adherence to professional standards.Ensure prompt preparation of month-end account reconciliations, including intercompany, balance sheet, and bank reconciliations.Prepare annual budgets and forecasts; monitor actuals against budget and provide monthly rolling forecasts.Managing AR/AP.Review profit centre P&Ls with department heads, validating and justifying costs in alignment with budget.Handle payroll reporting, including bi-weekly payroll processing for Australia and the US, management of leave forms and entitlements, and staff allowance tracking.Produce weekly sales reports and oversee aged debtors and bad debts.Review customer credits, co-ops, and chargebacks, ensuring payment approvals align with the budget.Analyse aged stock and freight/warehouse costs, updating cost templates for the production team.Collaborate with the Sales team on customer margin analysis and sales forecasting.Regularly report and interact with Business Department heads, ensuring financial performance accountability across the business.Monitor and approve staff allowances and manage accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of invoices.IT Management: Develop and implement IT strategies to future-proof the organization's infrastructure.Manage and deliver key IT projects, including Apparel 21 and EDI systems.Oversee relationships with third-party IT providers and external technology vendors to ensure optimal technology solutions.Provide IT support across the business, troubleshooting and resolving staff issues.Operations and Team Management: Lead global corporate expansion initiatives, including occasional local or international travel.Ensure data integrity of consolidated P&L and balance sheet reporting.Maintain strong financial controls and oversee regular GL reconciliations.Work with key team members and department managers to enhance financial data accuracy and streamline processes through automation.Manage and mentor the finance team, supporting month-end processes including AP & AR, journal postings, accruals, prepayments, and various analyses.Manage foreign exchange risk and minimise transaction costs.Review and refine business processes and internal controls to mitigate risks.Maintain lease and client agreements, company asset register, and supply chain relationships.Participate in ad-hoc projects as required.Skills and Experience: CA/CPA qualified or equivalent.Previous experience working in Finance for the Fashion Industry, ideally with Wholesale.Experience managing a team of junior accountants.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.High attention to detail with the ability to work independently and manage conflicting priorities.Excellent problem-solving, time management, and communication skills.Familiarity with the Apparel 21 system is preferred.International business experience and familiarity with factoring (e.g., Hilldun) are desirable.Location: Mascot, Sydney
