Talk to us about how these arrangements might work for you.See Yourself in Our TeamYou will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver a visionary strategy focused on enhancing customer experiences and building resilient, future-proof technology.Our program's goals are ambitious but simple:Deliver meaningful value to customers by unlocking reliable, user-friendly digital experiences.Speed up delivery and empower teams by simplifying complex legacy systems.Ensure always-on, dependable channels through robust, scalable technology solutions.The role of a Platform Engineer is to design, build, run and evolve tools, infrastructure, templates and capabilities that our other engineers use to deliver business value, and to write code that automates running our infrastructure and environment.The successful applicant will join a DevSecOps team tasked with delivering:Source code management tooling.Artefact management tooling.Mobile App distribution management tooling.Third party and bespoke components providing adjunct functionality.Key Responsibilities:Build, install, configure, test, monitor, support and document cloud-based, third-party, and/or custom-built systems, technologies and features.Build, configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines.Build, configure and maintain infrastructure environments (cloud and on-premises).Liaise with vendors and service providers for external support and system enhancements.Participate in after-hours on-call support.Operate in agile framework using agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).Experience:Demonstrated experience as a Platform or DevOps engineer.Ability to perform root cause analysis and solving challenging problems.A propensity to solve problems with coding/scripting and automation.Relating well to others (e.g. empathetic, understanding, inquisitive, open to giving and receiving feedback, collaborative).Managing time, tasks and delivering on commitments, potentially working on multiple streams of work at the same time.Applying and promoting security best practices from a systems delivery perspective.Applying and promoting CI/CD principles and practices.Implementing Infrastructure as Code (e.g.: YAML).Technical Skills:Git-based source/version control systems (e.g.: GitHub, Bitbucket).Continuous integration/delivery tooling (e.g.: TeamCity, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).Scripting languages (e.g.: Python, TypeScript, React, React Native or similar).Programming languages (e.g.: C#, Java or similar).Containerisation technologies (e.g.: Docker).Mobile application management and distribution (e.g.: Google Firebase) is a plus.Configuration management tooling (e.g.: Ansible) and Artefact management tooling (e.g.: Artifactory) is desirable.If you thrive on creating lasting, impactful technology and want to be part of an inclusive team that values innovation and growth, we'd love to hear from you!Whether you're passionate about customer service, driven by data, or called by creativity, a career here is for you.Our people bring their diverse backgrounds and unique perspectives to build a respectful, inclusive and flexible workplace.
