AHP2 Social Worker | Mental Health Services | SALHNJob no: 886510 Work type: Part time Location: Adelaide Metro Southern Categories: Allied and Scientific Health, Public HealthSalary: $88,255.00- $102,240.00 (Pro Rata) AHP2 | Part Time 18.75 hours per week – Contract Until March 2026Are you a Social Worker looking to make a difference in Southern Adelaide's local community?The Social Worker is responsible for the delivery of a range of clinical activities, including mental health and psychosocial assessments, risk assessments, treatment and care planning, therapeutic interventions, advocacy and liaison with other community service providers.About the role:Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager and Principal Social Worker, you will apply specialised expertise to the development, delivery and continuous improvement of quality clinical work and provide discipline specific assessments and interventions.Duties for the role will include:Undertaking health promotion activities e.g. developing and implementing educational services as required.Providing community liaison and education to families, carers and the community about mental illness and recovery.Working in conjunction with government and non-government agencies to effectively coordinate service provision.Advocating for and negotiating on behalf of the consumer with relevant groups/organisations.About you:Ability to work collaboratively and cohesively with consumers, carers, other agencies, community services and the multi-disciplinary team.Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to express complex ideas succinctly and logically.An appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.Proven experience in delivering high quality and safe care consistent with the National Safety and Quality Health Care Service Standards.Application Closing Date: 11.55 pm Wednesday 20th November 2024.Contact: Abhinav Saini, Nurse Manager, 0402 385 066, Abhinav.Saini@sa.gov.au
