Position Overview:
TP Human Capital is partnering with a government client in Townsville to find a People and Culture Manager. This role is crucial for driving human resources initiatives that align with strategic goals while fostering a positive workplace culture. The successful candidate will lead the recruitment and people services team, enhance HR processes, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver effective people solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and support the recruitment and people services team to ensure they meet organisational service expectations with a focus on continuous improvement.
2. Guide stakeholders on the consistent implementation of HR strategies and practices, ensuring equity and consistency across the organisation.
3. Work with various departments to provide comprehensive advice and services, building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
4. Oversee the development and implementation of People and Culture initiatives as directed by the General Manager.
5. Create and implement a talent strategy, onboarding processes, and utilising effective recruitment methods.
6. Monitor and manage the People and Culture Services budget, providing regular updates to the General Manager.
7. Administer the labour hire contract, including conducting regular meetings and resolving issues with suppliers and contract clients.
8. Oversee the remuneration framework, ensuring proper evaluation and classification of position descriptions while maintaining organisational benchmarks.
9. Ensure the effective development and application of HRIS systems to meet business needs and maintain data accuracy.
10. Contribute to strategic decision-making within the People and Culture section, utilising professional knowledge and business acumen.
Key Requirements:
11. Proven experience in a similar role within a diverse organisation, demonstrating leadership in a people-focused environment.
12. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Law, or a related field.
13. Ability to drive change and resolve complex issues through effective solution design and implementation.
14. Skill in building strong relationships with stakeholders, balancing diverse needs while achieving organisational goals.
15. Demonstrated adaptability to changing demands and priorities.
