About the role Located at Calvary Hospital Lenah Valley, sterilising technicians are responsible for the processing and distribution of all reusable medical devices used for patient care, ensuring that all instruments, reprocessing methods, and the working environment adhere to standards, policies and procedures. Primarily based in CSSD, this position may include cross skilling in the Calvary Endoscopy Department as a cleaning technician reprocessing endoscopes.
Your main duties will include: The collection, cleaning, packaging, sterilisation and storage of reusable medical devices Complete documentation in accordance with established policies, procedures and Industry Standards Participate with daily controls, testing, monitoring of compliance and validation requirements About you Previous experience working within a Sterilising Unit (preferable) Knowledge and understanding of Industry Standards (preferable) Certificate III in Sterilising Services or equivalent or a willingness to obtain Good interpersonal skills within a team environment Ability to work a fully rotational shift work roster from 06:00 to 22:00 weekdays, and 08:00 to 18:00 Saturdays, with participation in on-call rosters (essential) A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation For further information please contact: Gerardo Lacapra, CSSD Manager,
