About the Role As a Clinical Nurse at Riverland General Hospital, you’ll be a key player in delivering person-centred care and providing clinical leadership. You’ll have the opportunity to work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment while overseeing patient care plans and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes. Additionally, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the development of less experienced staff and assisting with the coordination of services. This role offers a perfect balance of clinical responsibilities and leadership opportunities, including the chance to develop your own portfolio and contribute to organisational projects and change management initiatives. Key responsibilities: Provide proficient clinical nursing care to patients, focusing on person-centred and individualised case management. Monitor and assess patient care plans to ensure quality outcomes are achieved. Oversee nursing/midwifery care within your team and provide leadership for shift-to-shift operations. Support the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager in a range of clinical, educational, and management activities. Participate in clinical teaching, mentoring new staff and students, and supporting professional development. Contribute to clinical research, audits, and the development of clinical guidelines and protocols. Lead and promote a learning culture and assist with maintaining portfolios and records of learning. What We’re Looking For Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years of full-time equivalent post-registration experience. A strong commitment to delivering high-quality nursing care in accordance with relevant standards. Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to mentor and support less experienced staff. A passion for continuing professional development and contributing to a culture of learning. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
