The role provides fast-tracked assistance to skills audits and flexible, short training courses and qualifications that can assist in meeting the existing and evolving needs of staff and skill shortages of the industry.This position will also assist local manufacturers to access the training services of the tertiary education and vocational and education training sector relevant to businesses.About The RoleIn this role you will:Assist the Hub Manager to deliver on the Manufacturing Hub Delivery Model and key initial focus areas for respective hubs and provide accurate and timely reports. Assist local manufacturers to access skills development and training programs (both state and federal) and the training services of the tertiary education and training sector relevant to businesses and the evolving needs of industry. Promote manufacturing and school-based pathways into Advanced Manufacturing as a career of choice and work with the educational sector for students, parents, and educators to better understand the future skills required and opportunities in Advanced Manufacturing. Represent and advocate for the Department and its various interests including with key regional stakeholders to ensure the government's manufacturing hub objectives are well understood. Other duties as directed and required. This Position RequiresThere are no mandatory requirements for this role however, experience as a training provider or with manufacturing business would be highly regarded. A current Queensland "C" class Driver's licence. Travel away from the centre will be required. This may involve travel outside of normal office hours and/or overnight accommodation.
