The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating electrical and mechanical components and possess leadership skills to manage a team of estimators.Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the estimating team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure accurate and timely estimates. Oversee the preparation of detailed cost estimates for utility-scale solar and BESS construction projects, focusing on electrical and mechanical components. Review and approve estimates prepared by team members, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and comprehensive estimates. Develop and maintain cost databases, utilizing industry-specific software and tools. Analyze historical data to improve accuracy of future estimates and develop estimating best practices. Present estimates to management and clients in a clear and articulate manner. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in estimating for utility-scale solar and BESS projects, with at least 3 years in a managerial role. Proven leadership skills with experience in managing and mentoring a team of estimators. Proficiency in estimating software and tools. Strong analytical and mathematical skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and remotely, with occasional travel to project sites.
