It has been Queensland Government's builder for over 160 years, playing an important role in communities across the state by building and maintaining government-owned assets such as schools, social housing, police stations and correctional and health facilities.
About the role
Join QBuild to play a pivotal role in strengthening Queensland's building and construction industry by providing exceptional administrative support and leadership.
Duties and skills involved:
1. Provide high-level assistance, support, and expert advice to the District Manager and/or Team, ensuring effective operational support and strategic alignment.
2. Manage the overall function, performance, and personnel within the business support section, aiming for optimal business outcomes and operational excellence across all services provided.
3. Coordinate the implementation of key business initiatives, overseeing their integration and resolution of implementation challenges within the section.
4. Efficiently coordinate and manage a diverse range of administrative support activities, ensuring responsiveness to the business unit's needs, and offering crucial administrative support and advice to senior management and staff on operational issues.
5. Lead, mentor, and train staff to enhance their capabilities, fostering growth in their understanding of business improvement processes and related management systems.
6. Participate actively in work practice reviews, providing expert insights into the integrated business management systems of the section, thereby contributing to ongoing enhancement initiatives.
