Permanent Part Time – 32 hours per fortnight
$24.87 - $27.07 per hour, excluding allowances, shift penalties.
An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and highly motivated applicant to join our busy team. As a Waste Attendant, you will provide a clean, pleasant, and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff supports at all WGHG campuses.
We have a permanent part-time position available, Monday and Tuesday 6:30am – 3:00pm. We offer a friendly, team-focused work environment, comprehensive orientation to the department and organisation, in-house salary packaging, and free car parking.
Required skills and experience include:
* Ability to work within a team environment, or independently as required.
* Ability to work under supervision and take direction.
* Ability to manage own workload, handling multiple tasks to ensure that deadlines are met.
* Commitment to ensuring that a patient’s dignity is respected at all times.
* Attend shifts as rostered to ensure hospital services are maintained on a 7-day per week, 24 hours per day basis.
* Demonstrate flexibility and be willing to undertake a variety of duties within the daily routine.
* Experience in customer service, hospitality, and security roles would also be highly regarded.
IMPORTANT: Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.

The administrative headquarters are located at West Gippsland Hospital in Warragul, approximately 100kms east of Melbourne.
