Job Title: Full Time or Part Time Anaesthetist
The position of Anaesthetist at our hospital is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional to make a real difference in the lives of patients. As a senior member of the anaesthetic team, you will be responsible for providing pre- and peri-operative anaesthetic care to patients, as well as inputting into the management of patients in the High Dependency Unit and emergency situations.
We are an accredited training facility, and as such, you will be required to supervise and mentor junior doctors, interns, and registrars. The department is committed to delivering high-quality patient care, and we are looking for someone who shares our values and commitment to excellence.

About the Hospital:
We are a 305-bed hospital that serves as the main referral hospital for Central Queensland. We provide public health services to a population of over 250,000 people and employ over 3,700 staff. Our hospital has undergone significant redevelopment in recent years and now boasts state-of-the-art medical equipment.
We have four operating theatres and two procedure rooms, supported by an 8-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU)/High Dependency Unit (HDU). Our Department is accredited for specialist training and is involved in teaching and research. We deliver a range of services, including preadmission clinics, acute pain rounds, and sedation for medical procedures.
Requirements:
To be eligible for this position, you must hold the FANZCA or postgraduate qualifications and experience in anaesthetics that meet ANZCA requirements for practising in this position. Alternatively, you may be an NZ FANZCA or an IMG with training assessed by ANZCA and a substantially comparable outcome.
