Our technical capability underpins the success of Qantas.
Your new position as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Composites/Structures) within the Engine & Component Maintenance Services department will see you working in the Qantas Engineering Aircraft Support workshop. In this role, your responsibilities will include repairing and maintaining structural and composite components for the Qantas Fleet, such as flight controls, nose cowls, fan cowls, etc. You'll also handle urgent on-wing composite repairs for Qantas Line Maintenance.
You'll have: Completed a Certificate IV or Diploma in Aeroskills - Structures or Mechanical.Previous experience in aircraft composite repairs.Thorough knowledge and understanding of structures and/or composite maintenance procedures.Proven commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to handle competing demands, particularly when under pressure and/or managing multiple stakeholders.Compliance with all safe working practices and service standards.Excellent time management skills and a proven ability to effectively manage self and others.Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.Commitment to being customer-focused with the flexibility and willingness to undertake other reasonable duties as required.Highly developed attention to detail.You'll join a team where creativity and passion are encouraged.
