THE ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Speech Pathologist to join our small dynamic LiveBig team in Cairns!
* Full-time permanent
* Can be based anywhere in Cairns (hybrid role)
* Administering and interpreting a wide range of audiometric tests to determine hearing efficiency and locate sites of detected hearing problems
* Interpreting audiometric test results alongside other medical, social and behavioural diagnostic data
* Evaluating total response pattern and acoustic tests to distinguish between organic and non-organic hearing loss
* Planning, directing and participating in counselling, speech reading and other rehabilitation programs
* You will have a diverse caseload providing high quality clinical supports in home or community settings such as schools and group homes
* You will be responsible for providing assessment, intervention, reporting, therapy planning and clinical recommendation within the scope of your clinical discipline.
* Full flexibility to be based from home to complete reporting and administration in support of your caseload.
* Also access to a central office location if you like to work in an office environment on a weekly or monthly basis (flexible)
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
* You will have SPA registration as an Speech Pathologist
* Apassion for working with people with a disability and NDIS and/or disability sector experience is preferred but not essential
* Paediatric and/or adult experience is highly desirable
* Experience working in a community services setting (desirable)
* A willingness to provide services within the community, including in-home
* Excellent time management skills and organisational skills
* IT skills at an intermediate level including computer and mobile, and a willingness to embrace new technology

* Hold a drivers license and have use of your own vehicle
