About the role We are currently seeking an Allied Health Manager for a paediatric assessment service based out of Cairns.
Key responsibilities include: Manage a multi-disciplinary team of 8 clinicians including occupational therapists, speech pathologists, physiotherapists, dietitians and psychologistsLead the service development and strategic direction of the new paediatric assessment serviceDevelop new policies and proceduresProvide culturally appropriate and evidence-based assessments to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoplesImprove health outcomes in regional AustraliaCollaborate effectively with rural generalist teamsManage and monitor budgetsMaintain appropriate staffing levels through staff retention, recruitment, workforce planning and credentialingManage safety and riskTravel to regional and remote hospitals and clinicsTo be successful in the role you will have: Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, Bachelor of Physiotherapy, Bachelor of Speech Pathology, Master of Psychology, Bachelor of Dietetics or similarCurrent AHPRA or SPA or DA registrationDemonstrated experience leading a multi-disciplinary clinical teamDemonstrated experience managing a paediatric serviceDemonstrated experience driving service development (preferred)National Police Check (or willing to obtain)Working with children check (or willing to obtain)Willing to travel to regional or remote areas, including overnight staysCompetitive remuneration on offer: Between $140,000 and $147,000 plus superUp to $5,000 relocation allowanceSuperannuation contributions of 12.75% and salary packaging options5% annual leave loadingIndustry leading professional developmentWhy apply through Healthcare Australia?
