Your new role As a Fibre Design Engineer within the NetworkIntegrity division, you will be responsible for delivering a complete NetworkRelocation Service. This includes the removal, relocation, redesign, andprotection of fibre assets across varied network architectures. Your keyresponsibilities will include: Producing engineering standardsand architecture documentation for the fibre network. Planning and designing fibreinstallations, ensuring adherence to relevant agreements and legislation. Providing engineering workorders, drawings, and plans to ensure successful deployment of fibre cables. Supporting other engineering andoperational teams in deploying and interconnecting fibre cables. Validating the accuracy ofas-built fibre records and providing direction for GIS applicationenhancements. Administering all fibre projectactivities, including financial monitoring, reporting, and requisitiontracking. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will need: Tertiary qualifications in arelevant discipline (e.g., IT/Telecommunication or Business). A minimum of 5 years experiencein fibre cable installations with a working knowledge of fibre opticdeployment. ICT or Telecommunicationsdelivery experience is highly desired. Intermediate to expert knowledgeof telecommunication fibre networks. A solid understanding of OSP,ISP, aerial, and underground design principles. Strong analytical, design, andproject management skills. Proficiency in using Mapinfo,AutoCAD, MS Office Suite, and other industry-related software. Excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills. Experience with stakeholdermanagement and strong negotiation skills.
