We operate multiple helicopter types from a number of bases throughout Australia and Timor Leste providing support to a number of the major oil and gas producers.About the role:Reporting to the Base Manager Darwin, the Ramp Assistant will ensure the efficient, secure and cost-effective operation ramp related duties at the Darwin Base. The role is a 12-Month Fixed Term full-time opportunity, requiring the successful candidate to reside in Darwin on a Monday to Friday Roster.The key responsibilities: Adhere to corporate CHC Health, Safety and Environment & Quality Policy and all other company policies;Binning/replenishing;Maintaining housekeeping, cleanliness and safety standards to ensure the store Office area and Hanger is in a presentable condition;Refuelling of Aircraft, including hot refuelling;Preservation and storage of life jackets and headsets;Safe Loading of passengers and freight into company aircraft;Aircraft towing;Aircraft cleaning and polishing;Aircraft reconfigurations;Assist stores where required;Maintenance of ground support equipment, machinery and vehicles;Other duties as instructed by the Senior Base Engineer / Base Manager / Operations Officers.About You:Required Qualifications: Minimum Year 12 or equivalent.An ability to obtain and hold an ASIC card.A Current Forklift license is required.Skills/Experience: Dangerous goods and WHIMIS training an advantage.Possess 1-2 years current or previous ramp experience.Ability to effectively manage conflicting priorities.Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.Attributes/Behaviours: Ability to engage strong relationships at all levels.Team orientated with a can-do attitude.Strong problem solving and solution-oriented skills.Strong time management, planning and organisational skills.At OSA we believe a diverse workforce makes us stronger.
