About Us
Our core values can be remembered using the mnemonic, CARE:
Connection: We place importance upon the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued when they can give and receive without judgment. We value being able to create meaningful and sustaining relationships between staff members; business partners; and clients, as well as helping individuals to develop their own understandings into their thoughts, feelings and behaviours.
Authenticity: We live our lives according to our own values and goals, rather than those of other people. We remain true to our personalities; values; and spirits, regardless of the pressure that we may feel to act otherwise. We are honest with ourselves and others, and we take responsibility for our mistakes. We can bring our true, authentic and full selves to our work, within the boundaries of creating safe therapeutic spaces for our clients.
Reliability: We do what we say we’re going to do. We know our limits and enforce them so we don't bite off more than we can chew.
Empathy: We can temporarily suspend judgment so that we can appreciate others’ perspectives or situations when they are different from our own.
