Our vision is to shine sustainable light on all that is beautiful in our world.We are celebrating 30 years in Australia culminating in our move to brand new, state of the art premises in Braeside where we showcase the advancement in sustainable lighting design as well as providing a great place to work.The OpportunityWe are searching for an outstanding Head of Finance to bring their integrity, maturity, leadership and experience to a small team and complement the successful evolution from a family business to being part of a global listed organisation. This role will autonomously manage the accounting function to ensure compliance and provide insightful financial reporting to support executive-level decision-making. Additionally, you will oversee a range of accounting and operational functions critical to the business's success and manage a small team. Reporting to the Head of Region/Managing Director, this opportunity is offered on a full-time basis with flexible working arrangements.Key Responsibilities:Leadership: Be an integral member of the senior leadership team and bring your unique experience to contribute to the strategic direction of the company.Accounting: Responsibility for all accounting processes.Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare and submit monthly forecasts and annual budgets.Reporting: Provide reports as required by the Managing Director, parent company, regulatory authorities and auditors.Compliance: Ensure 100% compliance with government/tax time-based reporting requirements.Other Finance Tasks: Assist the Managing Director and Global CFO with other ad-hoc finance tasks as they arise.The Expertise:You will be a highly competent, driven, experienced senior finance leader with CPA/CA qualification. With a proven track record of driving financial performance, possess a continuous improvement mindset, your collaborative style, strong financial acumen and exceptional communication skills will complement your ability to prioritise and deliver results. With a dedicated focus on continuous improvement, you are committed to investing in your team to enhance capability and support career development.Other Requirements:Proven experience in a Senior Finance Leadership role, including provision of strategic financial leadership.Exceptional financial analysis and modelling skills (experience with PowerBI is highly desirable).Experience with SAP B1 is highly desirable.Advanced skills with MS Office suite (specifically Excel) is a must.Experience in leading, motivating, and developing high-performing finance teams.Strategic thinker with the ability to translate financial information into actionable business strategies.Strong commercial acumen and experience in managing budgets, forecasting, and risk management.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all stakeholders and convey financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.Excellent attention to detail with a high level of professional ethics, integrity and duty of confidentiality.Strong organisational skills – the ability to work in a team, as well as to use initiative to self-direct work.The Perks:Our people are our most valuable resource, and we encourage innovative and distinct ideas from our team.
