Service Director Aboriginal Health (HM5) - Identified PositionYour new companyThis organisation provides health care to adults and young people involved in forensic mental health and criminal justice systems.They serve patients with complex health needs in community, inpatient, and custodial settings.The Service Director Aboriginal Health will collaborate with key leaders across the organisation to provide culturally inviting services that enhance health outcomes for Aboriginal patients in the NSW forensic mental health and criminal justice systems, whether in the community, inpatient, or custodial settings.Your new roleWork with the Clinical Director Aboriginal Health to lead the team, ensuring culturally appropriate plans and services for Aboriginal patients.Oversee the development and management of resources, including financial and human resources, to support the Aboriginal Primary Care Workforce.Develop a care model for Primary Care Aboriginal Health roles in consultation with the Clinical Director.Manage staff by ensuring appropriate rostering and performance management.Provide cultural support and advocacy for Aboriginal staff and collaborate with partners to build capacity and engagement.Promote cultural competency among non-Aboriginal staff to improve workforce culture and service provision.Lead quality improvement and governance activities, support research and training, and ensure services are informed by evidence and population health data.Maintain relationships with partner services and relevant Aboriginal organisations, and represent Primary Care at inter-agency meetings.Develop and implement integrated information and reporting systems to support clinical and financial operations.Identify and manage risks, and implement strategies and action plans for areas of concern.What you'll need to succeedThis is an Identified role under the Section 14d of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 and as such Aboriginality is an essential requirement of the role.The position requires an experienced, senior manager with aboriginal health experience as well as strong leadership skills, innovative practice and capacity for service development.The ability to earn the trust and respect of Aboriginal people, communities, and organisations.Relevant qualifications in health management or public administration, or equivalent work experience.Proven senior management experience in Aboriginal health, with strong strategic planning, policy development, and financial management skills.Knowledge of Aboriginal health care practices and principles.Experience in developing complex documents like ministerial briefs, business cases, models of care, service agreements, and strategic plans.The ability to gain and maintain the respect and collaboration of the Aboriginal community, and to consult and negotiate on sensitive issues.Innovative problem-solving skills and experience in managing human resource and industrial relations issues in a complex health environment.High-level interpersonal, negotiation, and mediation skills, with the ability to motivate and engage a multi-disciplinary team.What you'll get in returnPermanent full time position paying $161,042 - $180,143 + superannuation and leave loading.Access to salary packaging benefits and fitness passport.Rostered day off (ADO).Free onsite parking to minimise your commute time.Fantastic training & education opportunities available.What you need to do nowIf you're interested and feel you have the right skills and experience to be considered, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV to Leanne Bennett via ******.Please express your interest in this role by Wednesday 13th November COB.#J-18808-Ljbffr
