Job Description
As the PR & Communications Lead you contribute to added customer value, a strong brand and increased fashion perception by leading the PR & Comms team along with the Marketing & Communications Manager, in accordance with H&M values, standards & policies.
You are responsible to implement global strategies while ensuring a strong strategic foundation for the Sales markets PR & Communications activities.
You collaborate closely with the Marketing and Communications Manager and other functions to be able to find synergies and maximize the effect of our earned media. You lead your team through an insight driven, customer and brand focused mindset.
Key responsibilities:
Sales Market PR & Communications
1. Responsible for adapting global PR strategies and drive local PR-activities including media selection, pitching, events, follow up, proof-reading etc.
2. Build, strengthen and protect the H&M brand, developing corporate communications messaging for senior leaders of the business
3. Crisis Management, support, guide, and coordinate when needed
4. Understanding of sustainability and communication of sustainability messaging
5. Experience with CSR and engaging and developing partners and plans
6. Plan, execute and follow up on local internal communications activities, supporting Marketing & Communications Manager with important internal communication initiatives
7. Responsible for local fashion PR activities and events together with the Marketing & Communications Manager and PR & Comms Team.
8. Overall responsible to secure fashion press releases and content, incl. proof reading and translations with Communication Specialist & Press Officer.
9. Lead and develop team members to strengthen the team and foster collaboration
10. Secure business results & follow-up based on insights and analytics
Qualifications
To be successful as the PR & Communications Lead you have strong brand building focus and are insight and data driven, with proven ability to drive results and work towards goals. You are an experienced brand builder and manager with a proven track record of creating results within PR & Communications, both reactively and proactively. In addition to this we believe with your passion for PR & communications, you are an excellent relationship builder, and you find innovative ways to engage our customers and stakeholders. You bring others onboard through inspiring and clear PR & Communication objectives where you lead with an ambitious and pragmatic approach.
What you need to succeed:
11. Deep knowledge and experience of working with local media (fashion & corporate). Having a good network with journalists, stylists and influencers is an advantage.
12. Event management experience and experience in managing external partners – PR agencies, Event agencies etc.
13. Experience with leading a team, ensuring strong collaboration and integration
14. Proven strategic communication planning, media relations and issues/crisis management skills
15. You have experience with CSR partners and Sustainability
16. You have experience with internal communications and corporate communications messaging
17. You have impeccable communication skills and are an excellent relationship builder.
18. A communication degree/relevant qualification.
