Role description: Due to consistent growth in our team and the demands of our strong and growing pipeline of work in our core business of civil highways engineering, we are looking for experienced Road Designer. You could be part of major infrastructure projects and have the opportunity to be involved in the digital engineering delivery of these and other major projects. Role accountabilities:
1. Resolve complex road design technical issues;
2. Assist the Project Manager in determining the resources required for a project plan including elements suitable for outsourcing;
3. Manage, plan, resource and complete the assigned delivery of the Road Design component of projects within agreed budgets and deadlines;
4. Ensure the production of project documents that are accurate, clear and concise and compliant with best practice and any other quality standards dictated by the nature of the project;
5. Maintain ongoing communication with relevant Project Managers/Team Leaders and clients when required, to ensure effective communications on matters relevant to the project.
6. Ensure compliance with Arcadis design standards and national design standards;
7. Collaborate and consult with the road design team when implementing road design modelling methodologies and processes on projects; and
8. Work in collaboration with other design disciplines and delivery partners to ensure the integrity of the overall design.
Qualifications & Experience:

9. A background in Road Design with suitable a degree or qualification relevant to Civil Engineering;
10. Proficiency in Bentley MicroStation, 12D or Civil 3D, skills and previous experience in OpenRoads and ProjectWise is desirable;
11. Experience in a project delivery environment with demonstrated participation in the delivery of major road infrastructure projects;
12. In depth knowledge of civil design standards, including Austroads, TFNSW supplements and/or other local Authority supplements and standards (i.e., VICRoads, TMR QLD, DIT SA, MR WA)
