Due to an exciting period of sustained growth, our client is seeking an experienced Gardener and Maintenance Person to join their team. This leading Ballarat-based property investment and development company has been working within regional communities across Victoria for over 25 years. The Role
The Gardening & Maintenance role will see you perform a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure our client’s commercial properties are presented to the highest standards. From building and fixture repairs such as painting and fixing a broken door to landscaping and garden work - no two days will be the same. You will apply your previous property maintenance experience, eye for detail, and proactive approach to ensure all assigned work is completed to schedule. You will also undertake private and commercial property gardening using your knowledge of plant care including mowing, pruning, weeding, and planting to maintain thriving local gardens.

Duties
* Undertake minor repairs and maintenance tasks for indoor and outdoor facilities, such as repairing fixtures, addressing safety concerns, painting, repairs or replacement of items
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of outdoor areas, including parking lots, walkways, entry points and garden beds including rubbish removal and debris cleanup.
* Plant, prune, and care for a variety of plants, including flowers, shrubs, and trees and lawns and undertake general landscaping work
* Manage watering schedules and irrigation systems.
* Monitor and address pest issues, diseases, and weeds using environmentally responsible methods.
* Conduct minor repairs and maintenance on a variety of tools and equipment
* Ensure that all gardening and maintenance tools and equipment are kept in excellent working order.
Skills & Experience
* Experience in gardening, landscaping, and knowledge of plant care best practices
* Demonstrated commercial property maintenance
* Familiarity with the use of a range of gardening and maintenance tools and equipment.
* Physical ability to perform labor-intensive tasks and work in both outdoor and indoor environments
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work communication skills and ability to work autonomously
* Ability to manage a schedule regular of regular and ad-hoc maintenance and gardening tasks
* A valid Australian Driver’s license is required
