Your primary role is to develop all Cloud Architecture deliverables required by programs and projects, including solution architecture documents, as part of the enterprise and line-of-business blueprinting and road-mapping activities. Your job is to ensure that these deliverables align with the overall technology strategy, blueprints, and roadmaps, and to address the business and customer requirements of a number of projects. From time to time, you will contribute to financial estimations and business case preparation.
As a member of the broader Strategy & Architecture community, you will be responsible for representing the project needs into all group architecture functions, meetings, and governance, and for providing sound architecture guidance and governance back into the project. Additionally, you will be asked from time to time to act as a stakeholder for ongoing technology strategy work and will be responsible for understanding and communication of the technology strategy within your business portfolio and project context, and for providing business context, guidance, and advice of business needs and priorities back into the enterprise-wide technology strategy.
Experience Experience within an IT transformation project or large IT modernisation program. Ability to step in and produce work product, with ability to apply hands-on knowledge. Proven experience delivering complex architectures for major projects to successful outcomes. Must be able to engage effectively and with gravitas with executive-level leaders across business and technology. Work across teams to provide direction and guide various areas in their journey to the Cloud. Participating as an architect who delivers thought-provoking, business-relevant advice for use in critical business strategies and initiatives. Developing and maintaining architecture roadmaps that are relevant, resonate with stakeholders, and enable architecture decisions to be made to support our businesses. Growing business understanding of the importance of good architecture and the costs of tactical decision-making. Extensive knowledge of key vendors, technologies, trends in technology. Understanding of relevant compliance and regulatory frameworks around PII and Information Management. Has a clear interest and understanding of modern, contemporary technology stacks, understanding cloud, SaaS, containerisation, APIs, data and information modelling, identity, security, micro-services, event streaming, etc., and as a self-starter, remains current on industry trends. A broad exposure to solution architecture domains is useful. Demonstrated experience equivalent to a relevant technology or business bachelor degree. Formal qualifications in any cloud architecture or architectural process are helpful but not essential. Proven experience working with Cloud Service Providers (Azure/AWS) with a strong focus on core Service Offerings, Solution Architectures, Integration Patterns, and Service Blueprints.
