About the role
We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team who can lead and co-ordinate the maintenance team to perform both preventative and reactive maintenance of the hotel, delivering on quality, to ensure our hotel is in top condition for our guests.

Key Responsibilities include:
* To provide leadership for an effective maintenance service to all departments. This includes hands-on work, as well as delegating tasks to contractors and in-house maintenance staff.
Respond to maintenance issues reported by guests and departments in a timely manner. Provide expertise and have thorough understanding of technology installed across the hotel, including BMS, CMMS, AV Systems, IPTV. Proactively identify areas of improvement within the hotel, ensuring preventative maintenance plans are in place and operational. Ensure the building and surrounds, plant, machinery and equipment are maintained and operates at the most efficient and productive level possible following all OH&S, WHS and AS standards. Ensure compliance with relevant internal and external hotel or building audits. Co-ordinate and implement plans of rectification in a timely manner. Ensure the continued safety of all guests and staff by ensuring the building’s fire and other essential services are in an operational state, actively connected, free of isolations and well maintained at all times. Assist the management of security and controls with regard to hard keys and card access management in line with company policies.

Skills & experience
* Previous experience in a similar role, within a hotel or other built environment.
Competence in the use of hand and power tools. Excellent communication skills. A working knowledge of OH&S standards. Experience in managing, or working with contractors and tradespersons ensuring quality outcomes. Excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor. Ability to: identity, manage and seek resolution to building defects. perform job functions with initiative, attention to detail, speed and accuracy. prioritize and organize. be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgement; follow directions thoroughly and accurately. understand guest service needs. work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; display initiative and work with minimal supervision. ascertain departmental training needs and provide such training. direct performance of staff and follow up with corrections when needed. Trade background. Trade diploma, engineering degree or other relevant tertiary qualification. 5-star hospitality experience. Engineering experience.
