Role Overview
Our client, a leading EPCM working on a variety of major resources projects is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Maintenance) to join their Perth team. In this role, you’ll provide Maintenance & Reliability engineering services for the organization and its clients, focusing on delivering sustainable and efficient solutions. This role includes technical oversight, maintenance strategy development, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver maintenance engineering services in compliance with organization, client, and regulatory standards.
* Review and optimize maintenance strategies; develop project-specific strategies for new equipment.
* Manage CMMS Maintenance Master Data (SAP/MAXIMO/JDE) and initiate data change requests as needed.
* Identify and manage critical spare parts to ensure statewide asset reliability.
* Conduct Equipment Criticality Analysis and audit project-specific materials.
* Develop and review BOMs and EPLs; prepare/update maintenance work instructions (PRTs/MWIs).
* Lead inspection programs for process piping, vessels, and equipment, ensuring adherence to Australian and international standards.
* Act as a technical advisor for teams; participate in peer reviews.
* Lead improvement initiatives based on recurring issues.
* Ensure maintenance work complies with Major Hazard Facilities requirements.
* Review engineering specs and suggest design modifications to improve reliability.
* Actively communicate with operational teams about safety, production, costs, and improvements.
Qualifications & Skills
* Degree: Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation & Control Engineering; postgraduate qualifications preferred.
* Experience: Proven track record in maintenance improvement projects, FMECA, RCA, RCM.
* CMMS Knowledge: Experience with SAP, MAXIMO, or JDE.
* Standards Compliance: Strong knowledge of local/international standards and regulatory requirements.
* Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and innovative solution development.
* Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Other: Experience with Python or R (desirable), willingness to travel as required.
