Your new role:
Supporting the Engineering Manager, you will:
* Perform concept and detail design for primary disciplines, including drafting and studies.
* Conduct design reviews for primary disciplines, focusing on single line diagram and substation layout, elevation etc. including for cables, earthing and various primary studies.
* Conduct cross-discipline design reviews, including safety in design, HAZID, HAZCON, HAZOP.
* Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) related to primary disciplines as raised by the Project Team.
* Attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and bench tests as required.
* Perform concept design related to primary disciplines for tender submissions and feasibility studies.
* Collaborate with the project team, clients, and stakeholders to develop optimized and innovative solutions for primary design elements.
* Conduct technical investigations and feasibility studies to assess the viability and potential risks of proposed primary designs.
Who you are:
A minimum of 7+ years local experience in HV and renewable infrastructure projects and AS 2067 from either the NSP or Contractor side. You are proficient in primary design, including substation layout, electrical clearance, short-circuit forces, EMF as well as Corona, cable, earthing, and lighting studies. Familiarity with HV equipment and proficiency in AUTOCAD and/or MicroStation.
