Northrop Grumman Australia partners with the Royal Australian Air Force to provide through-life support for its fleet of C-27J Spartan Airlifter aircraft. The C-27J complements the Australian Defence Force’s existing Air Mobility fleet and provides airlift of people, equipment and supplies to support Humanitarian Disaster Relief and crisis response in Australia and nearby regions.
Your Role
Reporting to the C-27J Aircraft Structural Integrity (ASI) Lead, you will:
Support investigation of technical documentation, conduct of analysis, and develop and review of engineering artefacts.
Periodic assessment of engineering data to validate systems and processes, assess in-service data against platform certification and risk assumptions, and assess the implications of in-service data on platform management.
Monitor the ASI sub-program, and proactively identify deficiencies or changes.
Review engineering artefacts, as required, within the scope of delegated Engineering Authorization.
Proactively seek opportunities to maximise aviation safety and minimise cost-of-ownership, over the short, medium and long term over the platform service life.
About You
As an experienced engineer you will have a passion for the aviation industry along with:
Bachelor of Engineering - Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
Professional Engineer within the aviation industry.
Working knowledge of Aircraft sustainment, configuration management, and certification.
Working knowledge of Defence or Civil Aviation Regulations.
Hold or be Eligible to hold a Defence clearance.
