Registered Nurse - Scrub Scout (Neurosurgery - Orthopaedics)
Are you a Registered Nurse with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care? Mount Hospital is looking to employ experienced Registered Nurses for our Scrub Scout team.
Key functions include:
1. Establish and maintain positive relationships with patients, families, staff and VMOs from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
2. Provide exceptional customer service and person-centred, evidence-based care.
3. Provide supervision and preceptorship to Enrolled Nurses, graduates, students, and AINs/PSAs.
4. Work as a valued member of an inter-disciplinary team, managing own work time and personal well-being.
5. Lead successful quality improvement and safety management projects to deliver desired outcomes.
6. Participate in clinical and compliance auditing.
About You
You will hold a minimum of 3 years’ full-time scrub scout experience in orthopaedics and neurosurgery. You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have a thorough understanding of patient care in a private hospital setting.
To be successful in this role, you will:
1. Have AHPRA registration (essential).
2. Have previous experience with Orthopaedics / Neurosurgery (essential).
3. Demonstrate exceptional clinical expertise and knowledge of procedures and the management of patients within the perioperative complex.
4. Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
5. Implement strategies to ensure quality and risk management are integrated into daily activities.
