Position Information Muirfield High School (915 students, including 24% from non-English speaking background) is a comprehensive, coeducational school with highly supportive student welfare structures and student leadership programs. Stage 6 Mathematics extends from Numeracy to Extension 2. The Mathematics faculty has a mix of early career and experienced teachers who achieve strong HSC results. Selection Criteria Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria, Proven capacity to teach Mathematics Extension 1 and 2, with the capacity to develop teacher capability in Stage 6 advanced and extension courses. Demonstrated ability to implement and lead faculty programs and processes that ensure compliance with and understanding of DoE, NESA and school requirements. Ability to work collaboratively with the executive team to lead, manage and implement whole school initiatives that address school priorities. General Selection Criteria 1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice 2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs 3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams 4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents 5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning 6.
