With a growing product range that includes Australian-designed and manufactured LV and HV power distribution products, they are now seeking a Business Development Manager to join their HV product division. As the Business Development Manager, you’ll play a key role in driving growth and expanding their market presence in the HV sector. As the Business Development Manager you will report directly to the General Manager. Maintain and develop their current portfolio of customers within the allocated business product to achieve sales targets. Develop and maintain in conjunction with the General Manager allocated account plans Develop strong relationships and sales outcomes to ensure company sales objectives are met. Marketing of the company and its services, whilst maintaining close relationships with new and existing clients, with the view of further enhancement of these relationships. Regularly visit clients locally and interstate. Identify new opportunities to be tendered in line with tendering and bid / no bid process. Assist the estimating team in preparation and submission of tenders. Work closely with supply chain partners. Follow up and negotiation of tenders. Assist the project team where required to deliver projects to the satisfaction of the customer whilst maintaining project profitability. What do you need? Minimum 5 years’ local experience and proven success in sales and business development in the electrical industry Electrical trade or Tertiary Engineering qualification. Proven track record of sales success. Intimate knowledge of high voltage switchgear, transformers, protection systems and packaged solutions. Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment. A good communicator and critical thinker. Operational management experience would be an advantage. Ability to perform under pressure and to work extended hours as required. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Self-motivated and enthusiastic outlook.
