The Practice
This friendly, community-focused clinic has five consulting rooms, a dedicated care plan room, a treatment area and wound care area. With three full-time equivalent GPs, the practice is well-supported by nurses, medical assistants and administrative staff. The building is nice and modern and features a staff and meeting room with kitchen facilities where you can enjoy your breaks with colleagues away from your desk. There is an adjoining car park with free parking for doctors all day.
Opening hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm on weekdays only – no evenings or weekend work required! The practice shuts over lunchtime with no booked appointments between 1pm-2pm to allow everyone a break, reset and opportunity to socialise and have lunch together in the staff room. The clinic’s ethos centres on compassionate, high-quality care, and recent management enhancements have improved efficiency and patient satisfaction. For your peace of mind around longevity, the practice is happy to offer Permanent Residency visa sponsorship, once eligible.
Wavelength helped a GP from the UK join this clinic five years ago who is still there and providing lovely feedback – he calls Yeppoon “paradise on earth” and his wife and children have settled in so well they all adore their new tropical lifestyle by the beach.
The Location
The practice is nestled in the picturesque heart of Yeppoon, Queensland, the beautiful coastal gateway to the Great Barrier Reef, not far from Rockhampton, and features a town centre bursting with exceptional dining experiences, market and boutique shopping and a vibrant arts scene. With beaches, a balmy tropical climate and a stunning collection of islands out on the bay, you will have plenty of places to visit for leisure activities, relaxation and adventure. The community has a population of 25,000, including young families and offers excellent schooling options.
