Only About Children South Melbourne has consistently been rated “Exceeding National Quality Standards” since 2014. The campus is a warm and inviting childcare centre that is conveniently a 3 minute walk from a tram stop and a 10 minute walk from Hartwell Station or Burwood Station. Each age group has their own dedicated outdoor yard with plenty of space for children to explore, create and lead their own play. Inside there are nine-aged based spaces, each specifically designed to encourage children to learn and grow, with a focus on safety and natural elements. We have a dedicated team of multilingual Educators who are fluent in over 9 languages including Mandarin, Hindi, French, Greek and English. We also have educators who are fluent in Auslan. We love to connect with our local community through excursions that feed into the children's interests and learning. This includes visits to the local supermarket, post office, Fordham Gardens and trips on the train to the city to the NGV and Museum.
The Traineeship Program:
Through our program, participants can pursue a nationally accredited Cert III qualification while acquiring essential on-the-job experience at our campuses.
OAC is proud to collaborate with Kool Kids as our training providers, ensuring that our trainees receive the top-notch training experience. Our experienced campus team is dedicated to supporting your educational journey and offering guidance throughout your traineeship.
* Full-time Traineeships are between 12-18 months.
* Hold AU Citizenship, Permanent Residency or VISA with no working AND study restrictions for a 24-month period.
* Currently obtain or is willing to obtain a Paid Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
* Be above 18 years of age
The ideal candidate would be:
* An individual with a genuine interest, passion for the Early Childhood Education sector working with 0-6 years age group children.
* A confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
* Committed learner with great time & task management skills
* Flexible to work in rostered rotating shifts.
